DEATH IS A NECESSITY

On completion of the first set of rituals on my mother's demise, I chose to write a blog. Perhaps that may be the reason for choosing the topic as 'Death'.

Death refers to the end of life, we all go through this occurrence and it is unavoidable. We have to accept death, but for as long as we are alive, we should live our life to the fullest and make sure to enjoy it.
All that lives must die, passing through nature to eternity.

Any violence and torturous act perpetrated by an arrogant person on innocents would be cursed with death for his arrogance.
Khaled Hosseini in his novel, 'A thousand splendid suns', would narrate the stories of two innocent girls and their inhuman husband. The whole novel was in the background of war-torn Afganistan. Rasheed, a widower would marry a young girl Mariam and would torture her for not giving birth to a child. After a decade, Rasheed would marry again another young girl, Laila, being an orphan due to the death of her parents in intra fraction religious groups war among the Mujahideens in Kabul. Rasheed did not mind the age difference of 40 years and married. Laila too had to face his hatredness, as she delivered a girl child against his wish for a boy. Both the women, Mariam and Laila attempted to escape from the clutches of the human animal, but could not succeed. They were caught by the ruling Talibans and handed them over to Rasheed, as women were forbidden to go out alone without the company of their husband as per Islamic Shariat rule. Rasheed became more furious and charged Laila with his belt till she swooned. Mariam, the other woman found a spade there, held it and attacked Rasheed with it and killed him. She saved Laila. Mariam was arrested and brought to Taliban Court and it was her statement, ' Death is a necessity', but she was sentenced to death.

Everyman's life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another. - Ernest Hemingway.

Aruna Ramachandra Shanbaug, a nurse in KEM Hospital, Mumbai was sexually assaulted by a wardboy and remained in a vegitative state for 37 years. She was given a bed and supported by the other staff throughout that period. People wanted her to have relief from such a prolonged suffering and even applied for permission to euthanasia, mercy killing, in the court. At last she died. Death became a necessity for the end of her sufferings.

Good byes are only for those who love with their eyes. For those who love with heart and soul, there is no such thing as separation. - Rumi

The world history recorded many sad periods suffered by the innocent people on account of tyrannical rule by various tyrants. Hitler's annihilation of human race through concentration camps and gas chambers were classic example of violence by ruler. Hitler's death put an end to such annihilation.

Kings and mightiest potentates must die, for that is the end of human misery.- Shakespeare

At the end the billionaire gets buried next to the street sweeper, we all end up as dust.

There cannot be life without death, it is inescapable.
Death is not opposite to life, it is part of it.
